One year after hitting the hip replacement list

Well, it has been a year since I went on the hip replacement list with the VA Hospital in Portland and still nothing.  Still no date scheduled and that means it will be 1 1/2 years at the soonest.  I'm still on the Oxycodone and they've even quit the monthly blood tests to see how much damage the pain killers are inflicting on my kidneys and liver. The edema continues to worsen in my lower legs and I've gotten to the point of sleeping with my legs elevated to help reduce the swelling.  What more can I say, the VA is definitely going the way of delay, deny, delay, and hope the Vet dies.

Stu will be back from Afghanistan in July and then we'll try to speed up the DRO hearing.  I'll just have to wait and see what happens.  Looks like nothing is going in my favor and it's obvious that the VA doesn't give a damn about Vets.  Not much else to report at this time.
